This lovely Greater Flamingo was photographed on the shallow shores of Lake Nakuru, very early in the morning just after sunrise busy feeding on algae.
Due to the rise in the level of the water at Lake Nakuru the amount of algae has diminished causing all the Flamingos to migrate to other lakes in the region. Where one would see flamingos by the millions you only see them thousands today.
